Artistic Staff Bios
Christopher Teague (Executive Producer) - co-founder of Metro Stage Company, has worked in theater, both onstage and
backstage, for several years. Most recently, he appeared in Damn Yankees, Evita and Fiddler on the Roof (Turtle Lane
Playhouse) and Jesus Christ Superstar (Indy Productions). Other acting credits include Big River, Pippin, Camelot, How to
Succeed in Business, Cinderella, and Amahl and the Night Visitors. Christopher has also directed several shows, and he
has taught musical theater classes as part of the Exploration Summer Program at Wellesley College. Chris is a graduate
of Connecticut College and Northeastern University School of Law and currently works as an attorney in Boston.
Robert Case (Artistic Director) - co-founder of Metro Stage Company, is originally from North Carolina and has lived in
Boston for the past ten years. He has worked in theater as an award-winning actor and director of several productions in
local, regional, and stock theaters since the age of seven. He is a state and regional winner in both classical and musical
theatre categories in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition. He is also the recipient of a DuPont
Research Grant to study original and modern Shakespeare performances and to develop study methods and performance
techniques for middle and high school students. Some of his favorite past roles include John Wilkes Booth (Assassins),
Curly (Oklahoma!), Lil Abner (Lil Abner), Gaston and the Beast (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), and Cooley (Anyone Can
Whistle). Robert received his Bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Wingate University and his Masters degree in
Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory.
Board of Directors
Richard Bass - (Director) Born in Chicago a long time ago, Richard Bass has been involved with music for most of his life. With
degrees in Music Theory and History, he has taught college music courses, played horn in symphony and opera orchestras, not to
mention an Army band, and has free-lanced in Chicago. Circumstances created an opportunity to become a performing arts
administrator and that included stints as the manager of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Diego Symphony (twice), Minnesota
Orchestra and Grant Park Concerts in Chicago. He also spent 3 years at an artists’ agency in Los Angeles which has since been
absorbed by the William Morris Agency. Bass retired twice but couldn’t deal with the boredom. He’s now in his tenth year working in the
Development Office of The Boston Conservatory.
Elizabeth Kowal, Esq - (Director) is a graduate of Colby College and Northeastern University School of Law. At the present time, she is
a labor and employment attorney at Murtha Cullina LLP. A long-time fan of musical theatre, she lives vicariously through the performers
of MSC and hopes someday to be brave enough to once again sing in public.

Mary O'Donnell - (Clerk of the Board, Director) has been acting, singing and dancing since childhood on stages throughout New
England. She has performed with Metro Stage Company in A New Brain, Cabaret, Songs for a New World, Closer Than Ever, and
Ruthless. Other favorite roles include Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, Mame in Mame, Matron Mama Morton in Chicago, Lettice Douffet in
Lettice and Lovage, The Baker’s Wife in Into the Woods, Golde in Fiddler on the Roof, and Reno Sweeney in Anything Goes. Mary has a
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theater from The Boston Conservatory and a Master of Business Administration degree in
Public and Nonprofit Management from Boston University. Mary has nine years of experience in fundraising and development in the
nonprofit sector and 10 years of operations and marketing experience in early-stage software companies. She is currently the Director
of Institutional Giving at the Huntington Theatre Company.
Michael Ford , Esq - (Director) is an attorney, concentrating his practice in real estate and business litigation, alcohol beverage and
entertainment licensing, and municipal permitting. In 2005, Michael started Ford Law P.C.; however he continues to serve of counsel to
McDermott, Quilty & Miller LLP, handling litigation matters. Michael's clients include numerous small businesses, real estate
developers, and restaurateurs. Most recently, Michael served as the political strategist and spokesperson for a candidate for State
Representative in the 2007 Special Election for the First Suffolk District. Michael received his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School,
magna cum laude in 1999 and B.A. from Boston College, also magna cum laude, in 1996.

Karen Fogerty - (Director) is the Director of Marketing and Communications for The Boston Conservatory, a performing arts college
offering degrees in music, dance and theatre. In this post, she drives a strategic marketing plan to support recruitment, fundraising and
performance revenue, as well as institutional identity and visibility. Fogerty earned her B.S. in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Studies
from Babson College. In her spare time, Fogerty also serves as a freelance choreographer/director/actress at regional theatres in
Greater Boston.
Lisa Rafferty - (Director) has worked in public relations and marketing in the entertainment industry for many years. She has worked
publicizing and promoting many areas of the arts including dance, opera, classical music and theater, in addition to her work on her
own production company. She has been directing theater for over 20 years in Boston, New Jersey and New York.
Alicia Gordon - (Director) a marketing communications/public relations professional with over 20 years of experience in agency and
corporate marketing and public relations, co-founded GordonLowerPR in Boston in 2000. Currently, she serves as a managing partner
for a wide range for luxury goods and services as well as fashion, beauty and non-profit organizations, with current clients including:
The Boston Design Center, The Animal Rescue League of Boston, Dr. Leonard B. Miller and the Boston Center for Facial Rejuvenation,
celebrity stylist Dean Mellen and Cheryl Richards Photography among others (www.gordonlowerpr.com). Gordon graduated from
Ithaca College with a B.A. in Theatre Arts/Speech Communication. She has served as the hospitality chair of the Public Relations
Society of America/Boston Chapter. She has been widely quoted in publications ranging from the Financial Times of London to the
New York Times and locally in the Boston Business Journal. Gordon has been published in a wide range of consumer and trade
publications. She has served on the Board of Directors of Wheelock Family Theatre since 2003 and has also served on the Board of
Directors of Boston Adult Literacy Fund and the Copley Society of Art.
Jay Hargis - (Director) provides business leaders with the knowledge and tools that they need in order to achieve their business goals
through their most important asset--people. Working for Profiles International, an international provider of leading edge assessment
tools Jay is able to offer practical consulting and training in strategic people initiatives. With almost 20 years of experience in Employee
Development, Jay has worked with over 200 global companies including General Electric, TimeWarner, Target, and ExxonMobil. In
addition to working with large organizations, Jay has brought consulting services to smaller regional organizations helping them meet
their strategic objectives. Prior to joining Profiles International in 2007, Jay spent seven years at BrassRing, a leading provider of Talent
Management Software and Consulting Services and a year at Digitas, a leading interactive marketing agency. In his role as Director of
Client Services at BrassRing, he led revenue growth of 250% and improved overall client satisfaction through strategic account
management and consulting services. At Digitas, Jay spearheaded several initiatives including New Employee Onboarding, Client
Relationship Management, Managerial Skills Development, and Interviewing Skills. Jay leverages his practical client services
experience along with his background in Learning and Development to provide insights and ideas that will allow businesses to develop
their talent in order to meet the demanding needs of today’s competitive marketplace. Jay holds an MS in Human Resources
Development from Northeastern University and a BS in Business Administration from Northern Arizona University. In addition, Jay is
currently an Adjunct Professor of Human Resources at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts, an active member with the Smaller
Business Association of New England, and a member of the Northeast Human Resources Association.
Sian Cox - (Director) brings to Metro Stage Company a wealth of experience in singing, acting, directing, teaching, radio and night club
work. Passionate about and deeply involved in the arts for many years, Siân balances her life as a business development professional
and multimedia artist, with nonprofit fundraising and arts advocacy. A recipient of the 1990 Keen Hahn award for her service to the city
of Northampton, MA in supporting the arts, she used her entrepreneurial spirit there to help develop and keep the arts alive. Since
receiving a Boston Globe Acting award as a young adult, she has performed extensively and has done principle acting and soprano
roles in numerous productions, including the title role of Angelina in Trial By Jury, Sarah in Company, Cinderella in Into The Woods,
Fonsia in The Gin Game, Corella in Lily Dale, and the dual roles of the Sandman and Dewfairy in Hansel & Gretel. Sian has also been
a soloist for the Valley Light Opera of Amherst, MA, the Victory Players, and Commonwealth Opera of Northampton, MA, and has
appeared as a commissioned soloist for the acclaimed early music group Arcadia Players of Northampton, MA. In the past, she has
also been a regular guest soloist for the Unitarian Society of Northampton and Florence. Concert performances include works in
Mozart, Handel, Schubert, Rossini and Bach to name a few. She has appeared in or been the voice behind numerous television and
radio commercials as a voice over artist, and has performed in radio drama aired on WMUA 91.1. Sian is also a cabaret singer having
toured with the Broadway Cabaret, as well as Le Cabaret performing throughout New England. Most recently she appeared as a
cabaret soloist at Club Café in Boston. An internationally published photo illustrator, she has provided book covers and editorial work
for Macmillan Publishing USA and for numerous magazines. Sian has a BFA in Musical Theatre from The Boston Conservatory and a
diploma (highest scoring portfolio) from the Hallmark Institute of Photography. She currently resides in Metro West.
