METRO STAGE COMPANY
Christopher Teague (Executive Producer), co-founder of Metro Stage Company, has worked in theater,
both onstage and backstage, for several years.  Most recently, he appeared in Damn Yankees, Evita and
Fiddler on the Roof (Turtle Lane Playhouse) and Jesus Christ Superstar (Indy Productions).  Other
acting credits include Big River, Pippin, Camelot, How to Succeed in Business, Cinderella, and Amahl
and the Night Visitors.  Christopher has also directed several shows, and he has taught musical theater
classes as part of the Exploration Summer Program at Wellesley College. Chris is a graduate of
Connecticut College and Northeastern University School of Law and currently works as an attorney in
Boston.
Robert Case (Artistic Director/Production Director), co-founder of Metro Stage Company, is originally
from North Carolina and has lived in Boston for the past seven years.  He has worked in theater as an
award-winning actor and director of several productions in local, regional, and stock theaters since the
age of seven.  He is a state and regional winner in both classical and musical theatre categories in the
National Association of Teachers of Singing Competition.   He is also the recipient of a DuPont
Research Grant to study original and modern Shakespeare performances and to develop study
methods and performance techniques for middle and high school students. Some of his favorite past
roles include John Wilkes Booth (Assassins), Curly (Oklahoma!), Lil Abner (Lil Abner), Gaston and the
Beast (Disney’s Beauty and the Beast), and Cooley (Anyone Can Whistle).  Robert received his Bachelor’
s degree in vocal performance from Wingate University and his Masters degree in Musical Theatre from
The Boston Conservatory.
John MacKenzie (Lighting Design)
is a recipient of EMACT and IRNE awards for set design,  John
has been involved in local theater since 1976.  His work has appeared in theaters from Gloucester to
New Bedford.  Musical design credits include: Assassins; Celebration; Anything Goes; Jesus Christ
Superstar; West Side Story; Bye, Bye, Birdie; Mame; Pippin; and Little Mary Sunshine. Plays include
Communicating Doors; Broadway Bound; Fuddy Meers; The Seagull; Glass Menagerie; Glengary Glen
Ross; Crossing Delancy; and The Shadow Box. Directing credits include Man of La Mancha;
Celebration; Fallen Star; Strange Snow; 12th Night; and The Fall of the House of Usher.  John has
served as President of Hovey Players for a number of years and is still active with the organization.

CAST
Shannon Muhs (Kathy) was last seen on stage this past fall as Domina in Boston Theatre Works production of
A FUNNY THING HAPPENED ON THE WAY TO THE FORUM.  Praised as an “engaging actress with a beautiful,
rich soprano,”  and originally from Westhampton Beach, NY, Shannon attended Hollins College in Roanoke, VA
on voice scholarship; and went on to earn a MM in vocal performance from the New England Conservatory of
Music.  Recent stage roles include Meena in Hortense Gerardo’s dark comedy THE DRESS REHEARSAL for
the Playwrights’ Platform Festival, Madame Baltin in Cole Porter’s YOU NEVER KNOW with Stoneham Theatre,
and Beth in MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG with The Longwood Players.  Shannon received critical acclaim for her
portrayals of Elsa Schrader in THE SOUND OF MUSIC with Bay Colony Productions and Stephanie
Necrophorous in NINE at Turtle Lane Playhouse.  Other favorite roles include Nicky in THE SMELL OF THE
KILL, and Sharon in MASTER CLASS.  Equally comfortable on screen, Shannon’s first lead film role as Paige in
JUST LIKE IT WAS directed by Will Lautzenheiser was just awarded a prestigious CINE Golden Eagle Award
and screened in the 2008 Newport Beach Film Festival.  You may also recognize Shannon from TV as she’s
one of the faces currently airing in the NATIONAL FLOORS DIRECT commercials.  Shannon is also a lyricist &
her collaboration on “The Jeans Rule” with Michael Wartofsky (founder, New Opera & Musical Theater Initiative)
has been performed in showcases in NYC and CA.  Current projects include “Time For Me To Fly” composed by
Elena Roussanova Lucas and produced by Grammy Award winner, Prince Charles Alexander.  Shannon calls
Hull, MA home and she is married to Andre Kim, music educator, bass player  & Berklee College of Music
alumni.  
Lindsey Larson (Marta) is a Junior at The Boston Conservatory where she is working towards a BFA in Musical
Theatre! This is her first musical in Boston and she is so excited to be working in this wonderful city! Favorite
roles include: Mrs. Lovett (Sweeney Todd), Madame Thenardier (Les Mis - Student Vers.), Eponine (Les Mis),
Jack's Mother (Into The Woods). Love to teachers, friends and N114LS!
Zachary Hardy (Robert) is excited to make his Metro Stage debut. Past favorite roles include Finch in How To
Succeed...(Weston), Josh Baskin in Big the Musical(Footlight), Curly in Oklahoma(Turtlelane), Jack in Into the
Woods(Footlight) & Cliff in Cabaret(Fiddlehead)  Zack performs regularly as a freelance drummer in Boston
area pit orchestras. He and his wife Carly just welcomed their 1st child, a boy named Caleb!
John M. Costa (Larry) is excited to make his MSC debut with Company.  Most recently seen as the Bishop of
Digne in "Les Miserables" with NB Festival Theatre, his regional credits include Goodspeed Musicals (1776),
New Rep (Ragtime),and Lyric Stage (1776). Favorite roles include Mr. Cellophane (Chicago) Cogsworth
(Beauty & The Beast), Herr Schultz (Cabaret), Julian Marsh (42nd St.) and John Adams (1776). John dedicates
this show to the best example of marriage, his parents.
Kimberly Suskind (April) is a senior at The Boston Conservatory where she is working towards a BFA in
Musical Theatre.  She is very excited to be performing in her second show with MSC, having previously
appeared in last year's Cabaret.  Past favorite roles include Florence in Boston Conservatory's production of
Chess, Evelyn Nesbitt in Ragtime, Bonnie in Anything Goes, The All Night Strut, Myrna Thorn in Ruthless!, and
Kim in Bye Bye Birdie.  Thank you to the MSC team for such a great opportunity, the incredibly talented cast,
M&D, and friends for all of their love and support!  
Dave Carney (David) is excited to make his Metro Stage debut with Company.  He was last seen as the
“Man of Steel” in Loki Arts’ production of It’s a Bird, It’s a Plane, It’s Superman. Other favorites include Baby
(Danny), The Full Monty (Malcolm), A New Brain (Roger), The Rocky Horror Show (Brad), Saturday Night
(Gene), Assassins (John Hinckley), and Little Shop of Horrors (Orin Scrivello).  Aside from his work in
musical theater, Dave spends his time performing as a soloist/crooner with Big Smile Entertainment.  
Upcoming productions:  Playing the role of Perchick in Fiddlehead Theatre’s production of Fiddler on the
Roof.  He would like to thank Metro Stage for welcoming him with open arms into their amazing world!  Also,
a special thanks to the cast for the opportunity to share the stage with such gifted performers.  And of
course, many thanks to family and friends for their enduring support.
Alyson Van De Giesen (Jenny) most recently played Cathy in The Last Five Years with the Blue Spruce
Theatre Company in Watertown, MA and was a featured singer in Metro Stage Company's review Heart and
Music. Alyson spent  two summers at The Hampton Playhouse performing in their children's theatre
workshop.  Some of her roles included, Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz and the Princess in The Princess and
the Pea.  Alyson was a  featured singer for The Boston Pops in a concert series called The Best of
Broadway under the direction of Keith Lockhart. She was cast as a member of the ensemble in A Grand
Night for SInging at The Speakeasy Stage Company.  Alyson moved to Japan to work for Tokyo DisneySea
for two years and performed in a broadway review called Encore!  While in Japan, she performed in several
special events at Planet Hollywood Tokyo and sang on several Disney recordings.  Upon returning to New
York, she was cast in the Singing Christmas Tree-O at Macy's in Herald Square.   Alyson also performed in
the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade as a back-up singer for Jai Rodriguez from Queer Eye For The Straight
Guy.  During her free time in New York, she worked for a music company called Little Maestros, performing
and teaching music to toddlers. Alyson currently performs with a wedding band called No Limit that is
booked through Groove Entertainment of Boston.  Alyson is a graduate of The Boston Conservatory with a
BFA in musical theatre.  Some of her favorite roles she has played are Christine in Phantom, Maria in West
Side Story, Lily in The Secret Garden and Rose in Street Scene.
Meredith Stypinski (Susan) is so happy to be back in her second production with Metro Stage, having
played Fraulein Kost in last fall's production of Cabaret.  She could most recently be seen as Emma
Goldman in Assassins for Company One. Meredith graduated with a BFA in Theater from The Boston
Conservatory, where she had the opportunity to portray Dora Strang (Equus), Lola (Come Back, Little
Sheeba), and the title role in Lysistrata, to name a few.  Look for her in Fiddlehead Theatre's producition of
Fiddler on the Roof in October!  Thanks to everyone at Metro Stage for being the wondeful people that they
are.  All my love to Mom, Dad, and Sadie!
Janet Ferreri (Joanne) is delighted to be working with Metro Stage Company for the first time.  Recent
Boston-area roles include Reno in Anything Goes (Norton Singers), Jeanette in The Full Monty (Winthrop
Playmakers), Ms. Pennywise in Urinetown (Vokes), Ouisa in Six Degrees of Separation (Newton Country
Players), Frau Schneider in Cabaret (Milton Players, 2006 EMACT DASH  Winner Best Supporting
Actress/Musical).  Past Sondheim roles include The Witch in Into the Woods, The Wife in Putting it Together,
Sara Jane Moore in Assassins, Fosca in Passion, and Tessie in Gypsy.  Janet lives in Newton with her
husband and two children, and is sometimes an attorney.
William Neely (Paul) is making his Metro Stage Debut. He is very excited to be performing in Company right
on the heels of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.  A classically trained singer and pianist and life long
actor William studied political science and art history at Umass Amherst and government at the London
School of Economics.  Favorite past roles include Bo Decker in Bus Stop, Hal in Proof, and Prez in The
Pajama Game.  Besides performing William loves traveling, having backpacked in Southern Africa and
Eastern Europe.  All my love to family and friends!
Tracy Nygard (Sarah) is so excited to be performing in her sixth Metro production (and with this amazing
cast),  having previously appeared in Ruthless (Judy Denmark), Cabaret (Sally Bowles), Closer Than  Ever,
Songs For a New World, and Godspell. Other favorite productions include Chess (Florence), Nine (Luisa),
The Full  Monty (Vicki) and Smokey Joes Cafe at Turtle Lane, Sorry Wrong  Number (Mrs Stevenson) at
Company Theatre, Sense and Sensibility (Fanny Dashwood) for Hovey Players, Five Women Wearing the
Same Dress (Georgeanne - 2006 EMACT Festival Best Actress) at Quannapowitt Players, and  Merrily We
Roll Along (Gussie) at Vokes. Tracy earned a BFA in Musical  Theater from The Boston Conservatory. For

Fran Betlyon (Amy) is making her debut performance with Metro Stage Company.  Previous shows in the
Boston area include Baby (Pam) with Riverside Theatre Works, The Full Monty (Georgie) with Theatre III, I
Love you, You’re Perfect, Now Change (Woman 2) with Arlington Friends of the Drama, and Merrily we Roll
Along (Gussie) with The Longwood Players. Fran also sings with Dave Aaronoff and The Protagonists, the
local rock-a-billy band of hooligans.  She has been singing and performing since she played Gretel in The
Sound of Music at the tender, obnoxious age of 4. This show is for her Grammy, who taught her how to ‘get
the giggles.’
Robert Case (Harry) is excited to perform with Metro Stage Company again!  He has performed in regional,
stock and local theater around the country.  Some of his favorite credits include Disney’s Beauty and the
Beast (Beast and Gaston), Assassins (John Wilkes Booth), Titanic (Benjamin Guggenheim), The Foreigner
(Rev. David Marshall Lee), Oklahoma! (Curley), Lil Abner (Abner), Anyone Can Whistle (Cooley), and Elegies
for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens.  Robert holds a Bachelors degree in vocal performance from
Wingate University and a Masters degree in musical theater from The Boston Conservatory.
