Metro Stage Company is always looking to expand its group of volunteers by
giving opportunities to anyone who'd like to be part of exciting and fun
theater!
Whether backstage, in Front of House, or working at a special event, Metro
Stage Company volunteers have the unique opportunity to assist the theatre
and at the same time become a part of our theatre family.
Metro Stage Company would not be possible without the essential
contributions of our volunteers, who are involved in all aspects of our theatre’
s operation. Volunteers help us to succeed in turning out a magnificent
production. We welcome people from all walks and stages of life as
volunteers, and we hope our opportunities give individuals a sense of "giving
back" to their community, being involved with the theatre, as well as helping
them exercise and develop various skills.
Ushers - Help support the Metro Stage Company!
Volunteer ushers are a vital part of the theatre's Front of House
operations.
Approximately 2-4 volunteer ushers arrive one hour prior to each
performance and check in with the House Manager. They are expected to
hand out programs, help seat patrons before the show starts, and answer
basic questions which patrons have about the theatre. In exchange, ushers
can see the performance free of charge and get an inside look at the
workings of a professional theatre company.
A half-hour orientation provides basic information about the theatre and the
current production.
This opportunity is available for anyone, including couples, families, and
